# Apollo Manager Agent: How to integrate Apollo with your AI Agents and what the integration can be used for

## Intro

This guide shows you how to connect Apollo.io to your account, confirm it’s successfully connected, and start using the Apollo Manager Agent to support prospecting and outreach workflows.

## What is Apollo?

Apollo.io is a B2B sales intelligence and sales engagement platform. It provides a large contact/company database plus tools for lead generation, email sequencing, CRM integrations, analytics, and engagement tracking—helping sales and marketing teams find prospects, automate outreach, and grow pipeline.

## Key Features

- Access Apollo’s prospect and company intelligence to support lead generation
- Support outreach automation (e.g., sequencing) and engagement tracking
- Connect Apollo alongside other tools to support end-to-end pipeline workflows
- Use only the Apollo capabilities you need (rather than an all-or-nothing approach)
## Example Use Cases

1. Prospecting support for sales reps
  - Use the Apollo Manager Agent to help identify and organise potential customers, ready for outreach.
1. Automated outreach preparation
  - Build a workflow where prospect data informs outreach steps (e.g., preparing email sequences and messaging inputs).
1. Pipeline visibility and follow-up
  - Use Apollo engagement signals to guide next-step recommendations (e.g., who to follow up with and when).
## Getting Started

### How to Integrate Apollo

1. Log in to your account.
1. Go to Configure.
1. Find Apollo.io (you should see it listed at the top).
1. Click Connect.
1. In the pop-up that appears, click Connect again to proceed.
1. Review the authorisation details (what Apollo requires access to).
1. Click Authorise.
1. If this is your first time connecting, enter your Apollo username/email and password.
  - If you’re reconnecting, your details may be remembered.
1. Click Connect.
1. When you see the confirmation that the integration is successfully set up, click Finish.
1. Back in Configure, confirm Apollo shows as Connected (a green “pill”/status label at the top of the Apollo section).
You’re now ready to use the Apollo Manager Agent.

## How to use Apollo.io and your AI Agents

Once Apollo is connected, your AI Agents can use it to speed up prospecting, keep records tidy, and drive consistent outreach—without you having to do each step manually.

Practical scenarios you can run:

- Daily lead-finding workflow
  - Agent searches for net-new people matching your ICP (role, seniority, location, company size/tech).
  - Agent enriches the short-list to pull contact details (where available/allowed).
  - Agent saves the best matches into your Apollo contacts and applies labels/stages for routing.
- Account-based prospecting
  - Agent finds target organisations by domain/industry/headcount/funding signals.
  - Agent enriches those organisations, then pulls relevant people at those companies.
  - Agent creates/updates Apollo accounts and assigns owners for follow-up.
- Sequence enrolment + control
  - Agent adds qualified contacts into an existing Apollo sequence.
  - If someone replies / becomes unqualified, the agent can stop or finish them in-sequence to keep messaging clean.
- Engagement-aware follow-up
  - Agent searches sent outreach emails and checks engagement stats (delivery/opens/clicks) to prioritise who gets a nudge next.
  - Agent creates Apollo tasks for the right owner with a clear next action and due date.
Key benefit: Apollo becomes the “system of record” for prospecting + outreach activity, while your AI Agent handles the repetitive sorting, checking, and updating.

## Best Practices

- Review permissions carefully during authorisation before clicking Authorise.
- Confirm connection status: always check for the green Connected label in Configure.
- Start small: begin with one clear use case (e.g., lead identification) before expanding to sequencing and tracking.
- Reconnect when needed: if you re-authenticate, Apollo may remember your login details, but be ready to sign in again if prompted.
