# How to add data to the Data Interpreter

This guide walks you through how to add files to your data interpreter.

## When should I use this?

The Data Interpreter feature allows you to upload spreadsheets and CSV files that your AI agents can analyse. This is particularly useful for reporting, audits, and structured data tasks.

## Step-by-step instructions

- Navigate to Configure.
- Select Data Interpreter.
You have three options for uploading files:

### Option 1: Upload from Your Computer

- Click the Upload button.
- Select Upload from computer.
- Browse your files and select the document you want to upload.
- Click Confirm to complete the upload.

### Option 2: Upload from Google Drive

- Click the Upload button.
- Select Connect to Google Drive.
- Choose the document you want to upload from Google Drive.
- Click Confirm to complete the upload.

### Option 3: Upload from Dropbox

- Click the Upload button.
- Select Connect to Dropbox.
- Choose the document you want to upload from Dropbox.
- Click Confirm to complete the upload.

Using Your Uploaded Data:

- Go to the AI Agents section.
- Select a user agent you’ve built, or go directly to the AI interface.
- Start interacting with your agents and ask them to analyse your uploaded data.
All your agents are available in one place to help you interpret and analyse your data efficiently.

Note: If you update any files on Google Drive or Dropbox, you will need to re-upload them for the changes to take effect.


## Common issues
