# Spud: How to schedule a Task and edit the schedule a task in Microsoft Teams

Set a task once. Spud runs it on repeat. Scheduling means your most important recurring work shows up in Teams automatically, at the time and frequency you choose, without you having to ask for it every time.

CREATING A SCHEDULED TASK

How to set up a recurring task

All scheduled tasks are managed inside your MaSH! AI dashboard. Tasks have already been set up for you. Your job is to decide how often you want each one to run.

- Go to www.spud.bot and select log in.
- Navigate to the Tasks section.
- Select Create Task or choose from the tasks already configured for your team.
- Define what you want the task to do and what output you expect.
- Open the scheduling options and choose your frequency: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly.
- Set the time you want it to run.
- Click Save — Spud handles the rest.
Where does the output appear once a task has run?

Wherever you set it up to deliver. If the task was configured to run in Microsoft Teams, the output arrives in the specified channel at the scheduled time. You can also view completed task results inside your MaSH! AI dashboard.

COMMON QUESTIONS

How scheduled tasks work in practice

How long does a scheduled task take to complete?

Most tasks complete well within 15 minutes. Simple tasks often finish in under a minute. Tasks that pull data from multiple sources, such as Float reports or web research, take longer. If a task has not delivered after 15 minutes, check your dashboard or contact your Champions lead.

---

What inputs do scheduled tasks need?

That depends on the task. When you configure it, you define the output you want. Most recurring tasks are set up once with all the required parameters and then run automatically. If a task needs new information each time, you can also trigger it on demand via @Spud in Teams.

---

What output will I get?

You define this when you set up the task. Scheduled tasks can deliver summaries, reports, briefings, performance digests, or any other structured output. The output lands exactly where you have configured it, whether that is a Teams channel, a DM, or both.

---

Can I ask Spud to redo or refine a scheduled output?

Yes, as many times as you need. If a scheduled output is not quite right, tag @Spud in Teams with what you want to change and it will refine it there and then. For longer-term changes to what the task produces, update the task configuration in your dashboard.

---

How do I iterate on outputs over time?

Talk to @Spud directly in Teams and give as much context as possible. The more specific you are about what you want adjusted, the better the result. For bigger changes to what a task produces, log back into your dashboard at yourai.liganova-mash.com/auth/sign-in and edit the task configuration.
