# How to share a Task with your team members

This guide explains how to share a task with colleagues so everyone who needs it can view and use it.

Sharing tasks makes collaboration easier by ensuring your team has access to the same saved instructions, scheduled runs, and outputs. It’s especially useful for standard processes like recurring reports or summaries where you want consistent results and visibility across the team, rather than relying on one person to run and relay the information.

- Navigate to the Your AI section from the top navigation bar and then Select Tasks.
- Use the search bar or scroll to find the task you want to share.
- Hover over the task to reveal the share icon.
- Select the share icon, then confirm you want to change who has access to the task if prompted .
- Open the team member drop-down list.
- Select the team members you want to give access to.
- Assign the appropriate access level if your platform offers options such as view, edit, or run .
- Select Done to finish and save the changes.

Troubleshooting

| | Suggested Solution | Possible Cause | Issue |
| | Re-open the share settings, confirm the correct team members are selected, then select Done to save. Ask the team member to refresh and check again. | The task wasn’t shared with the correct people, or changes weren’t saved | Task not appearing for team members |
| | Double-check spelling, try broader keywords, and clear any filters such as “My tasks only” if available. | The task name was entered incorrectly, or filters are limiting results | Unable to find the task |
| | Hover directly over the task row. If it still doesn’t appear, check whether you have access to manage sharing you may need an admin or owner to grant permission . | The icon only appears on hover, or you don’t have permission to share | Share icon not visible |
Sharing tasks helps your team stay aligned and reduces duplicated effort. Once a task is shared, everyone can work from the same agreed workflow, making it easier to collaborate, maintain consistency, and keep key outputs accessible to the right people.
