# Microsoft teams: How to install/connect Microsoft teams

If you are already approved to upload custom apps, you can skip straight to step 9. 


If you are not already approved, you will require admin access to Microsoft Teams to approve custom apps. Please begin at step 1.


If you don’t have admin access please send steps 1-8 to your IT department or the person who does.


1. Sign in to Microsoft Teams with your admin credentials.

1. Go to the Teams apps:

1. Go to Setup Policies:

1. Click Global (Org-wide default):

1. Toggle Upload custom apps to the On position:

1. Click Save and Confirm.

1. Then go to Manage apps > Org-wide app settings

1. Turn on the toggle Let users interact with custom apps in preview:

9. Go to Teams.


1. Click Apps:

1. Click Manage your apps:

1. Click Upload an app:

1. Click Upload a customised app or if you are an organisation you can select Upload an app to your organisation’s app catalogue:

1. Download this file: https://static.maybetech.com/Apps/MS_teams_Maybe_app.zip 

1. Upload the file you downloaded.

1. Click Add:

1. Select the channel you want to use the app in and click ‘Go’:

1. Then go to Configure and connect ‘Microsoft Teams’:

1. Finally, go back to Microsoft Teams and start talking to your Agents.
